| This French majolica Sarreguemines plate is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The plate has a light turquoise blue background and is decorated with 2 birds, branches and fruit. It is marked with an incised S on the back. The condition is very nice. There are some minor crazing and 2 fleabites on the rim. Check page 36 of Pierre Faveton's wonderful book 'Les Barbotines' for more information on this plate. Circa late 19th century. | |||||
