| A truly stunning piece from circa 1900! Chocolate pots of this type are almost impossible to find. This unusual French or German enamelware pot is 9 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter on the bottom. The spout is seamed and also riveted on the inside as is the connecting piece on the lid. The hinge for the lid is also riveted on the outside of the pot as is the holder for the wooden handle. The wooden part is approximately 4 3/4 inches long and a bit lose but could certainly be tightened with the screw on the bottom. All of the ornamentation is hand-painted in gold and gray. The pot shows some dings and rough edges but nothing distracting. All in all an exquisite piece! | ||||||||
