| This white earthenware china with blue underglaze transfer is German from Villeroy & Boch. The pattern is Saxony. It is marked with the Mercury mark Dresden as well as an impressed letter to indicate the decorator. This Mercury mark with Dresden was used from 1874 until 1909. The pot is in the shape of a coffee pot rather than a teapot as most German sets are. There are 4 cups, 4 saucers, tea or coffee pot and a creamer. One of the saucers has a tiny chip which has been repaired. All the other pieces are in wonderful condition. The pot is 5 inches tall, the cups are 1 3/4 inches tall and the saucers are 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Circa: early 1900's | |||||
