Early Christmas trees were lit with candles in counterbalanced holders. These had a long wire with a lead weight at the bottom which was designed to balance the weight of the candles. Such decorations were recycled, when the year came to an end, as wall decorations in subsequent years. The decoration is air-brushed and decorated with glitter. It is marked ' ...click for details

Once used at Christmas time with a creche or in a putz scene, we now enjoy decorating with them all year around, such soft woolly sheep. This handsome fellow has a composition body covered with fluffy white cotton. He is 3 inches tall with a green paper collar around his neck and 4 wooden stick legs.
