This 10 ½ inch Belsnickle is a German folk art item from our Werner Brauer Collection. He can be lifted from his base to put sweets into his container body. He is made of pressed cardboard using an original mold from circa 1920. He is exquisitely hand-painted and signed and dated by the artist. He can be ordered with a red coat or a red coat with white dots, both with mica-sprinkled trim, or with a white coat with mica-sprinkled trim and sparkling gold accents. This candy container is another German folk art item from our Werner Brauer Collection. He is 8 1/4 inches tall and carries a basket on his back for his Easter goodies. His head can also be removed to put sweets into the container body. He is made of papier-mâché using an original mold from the early 20th century. His eyes are glass. Mr. Brauer creates and hand-paints all of the items for this collection in his Central German studio. The rabbit is signed by the artist and dated on the bottom.
