Such a tiny tin! And most unusual with its own matching serving plate. The serving plate is 6 ¼ inches in diameter, the bottom of the tin 5 inches in diameter. It is approximately 2 ¾ inches high. And the color is an ever so soft, slightly faded blue. Not only a good cache for biscuits. But a romantic extra for a boudoir! Circa 1910.

A unique accessory for your sewing room! This unusual piece was most probably crafted by a village smith or itinerate peddler. It is 8 ¾ inches long from its tip to the loop for hanging it for storage. The widest part at the back is 5 inches. With a heavy old iron it makes a lovely rustic, yet romantic, display piece. Iron not included in sale. Circa 1910-1920 or earlier.
