The bottom rims of the cups, the creamer and the teapot are not glazed. The rims of fine porcelain were often not glazed so that impurities could escape during firing. This striking set is very elegant white porcelain trimmed with hand-painted gold and burgundy accents. The top edges of the teapot and creamer are scalloped. The saucers have flower-like petals. This tiny white porcelain plate is truly a rare find! Just like the big ribbon plates it has holes - in this case they are minuscule - so that ribbon can be pulled through them. Normally such plates are hung on the wall for decoration. This plate is only 2 1/2 inches in diameter and in great condition with no 'problems'. The cake, somewhat more recent, is included in the sale. Circa: 1900-1910.

Six white porcelain canisters with black German lettering for the doll kitchen. Just like the big kitchens doll kitchens were furnished with porcelain. These canisters have lids with porcelain knobs on top. They are 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter. The condition is very nice, only one lid has a tiny chip. Circa: 1905.

Petrus Regout of Masstricht, Netherlands was famous for production of Junior or Children's Size sets of dishes. This sauce boat is not marked, but is the form which was used by Mr. Regout and most likely one of his pieces. It is decorated with a blue transfer pattern of butterflies and birds. This white earthenware china with blue underglaze transfer is German from Villeroy & Boch. The pattern is Saxony. It is marked with the Mercury mark Dresden as well as an impressed letter to indicate the decorator. This Mercury mark with Dresden was used from 1874 until 1909. This doll size tea for 2 set or Tete-a-tete is for children's play. It is white porcelain with gold trim. The bottom of the teapot, creamer, sugar and the edges of the saucers are ribbed and trimmed in gold. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Teapot with lid 2 3/4 inches tall, creamer 1 1/4 inches tall, sugar 1 3/4 inches tall with lid, saucers diameter 1 1/2 inch and the tray is 6 inches by 3 1/2 inches. The set is not marked but is most likely German. Circa: 1910.
