This Art Nouveau majolica pitcher is dark green with delicate green leaves and flowers. Made by Villeroy & Boch in its Dresden, Germany factories, it stands 6 1/2 inches tall and has just the right colors for contemporary decorating schemes. There is a small chip on the upper lip of the pitcher which can be seen in the photos, but otherwise the condition is very nice. With a bunch of appropriate flowers the chip would not be seen and the display effect would be stunning! Circa 1900-1920.

A wonderful majolica plate which harmonizes well with a blue or turquoise color scheme. This imposing plate was made for wall display and has a hole in the back for hanging. The bottom rims of the cups, the creamer and the teapot are not glazed. The rims of fine porcelain were often not glazed so that impurities could escape during firing. This striking set is very elegant white porcelain trimmed with hand-painted gold and burgundy accents. The top edges of the teapot and creamer are scalloped. The saucers have flower-like petals.
