A person who would like to become a member of the BPS must fill up a particular application form given by the Secretary of the Organization. An individual shall sign a declaration about his acceptance of the Organization’s goals and standards. The applicant should accept to obey with the assessment of the Organization’s General Assembly once accepted as a member. The member of the APA admitted automatically, once a person signs up for the membership application.
The Boards make the decision making regarding the membership applications of Directors. The applicant has the right to demand in writing that will be passed on by the Group to the next Association assembly. A candidate whose application or appeal was rejected is free to reapply after six months or more from the date of his earlier request. The Rights and Duties of the members are as followed.
A member of the Society shall be allowed to partake and vote in any General Assembly and will add up as one vote in each voting. Candidates, associate honorary members, are free to participate in any General Assembly without the right to vote. A member must be qualified to be voted to the institution of the british polygraph association, except an applicant was disqualified by the Disciplinary Court. A member is free to participate in the Organization’s activities, and profit from all the services the Organization offered its members.
The Board of Directors, approved by the General Assembly, shall be allowed to determine the mandatory membership fee. A candidate should pay the membership fee ultimately unless the Board of Directors excused it. The Board can exempt members from annual membership fees if they find fit according to the standards, which were set during the Board of Directors meeting. Payments for all the members will be equal. The candidacy expiry doesn’t exempt one from paying what is owed to the Organization for the time until the candidacy expiry.
